How this project could be more successfu..

I think a dinner date for the EPSOM and PARSONS students is necessary. It would have been nice to get to know the whole group. I think the visit to New York was short and the students wanted to see everything. Therefore, setting up a dinner in a trendy restaurant is a smart way to accomplish both getting to know one another better, and feed the tourist side in the Londoners. Spending a set hour together over wining and dining would have been pleasant, don't you think?

What have I learned by participating in this project?

I was happy to have met with the EPSOM group. Everyone I met was so sweet. And it was nice to learn about how they experienced New York for their first time. I can't wait to meet up in London next! I also was happy to participate in this project because I had extra support during my presentation. I've learned that having the positive attitudes surround you during a stressful time, makes all the hard work worth it. I was happy to see that my group partner, Kat, was thrilled about my collection. Receiving compliments from someone with a different background, raised in a different fashion design surrounding gave me more confidence in my collection.

Have I learned more about London?

Other than the 20 places we should visit if we make it to London, unfortunately not much. Although, I did enjoy reading everyone’s thoughts, I would have to catch up on my research because knowing the names of these places doesn't really make a difference. The names are foreign to me but now I know where to go for future reference. The lists made me curious to see if London's shopping scene is similar to New York's. The names seem much more interesting. I also realized everyone thinks the exotic is more interesting, just as if I were to go to London I would probably think it was a better experience than New York. My favorite surprise was meeting with the EPSOM group, if they had more time in New York, I have a feeling I would have enjoyed their company.

Lets not speak of my presentation..

So my presentation was on Tuesday afternoon and those who were there know how nervous I got. No matter how much you rehearse if stage fright gets to you, it gets to you. Going up there you feel so intimidated presenting something you worked so hard on for a year. Even though I was proud of it, and I love every piece, not knowing the audiences response made me blank out. But luckily as I started describing my looks things got much easier, I know every piece inside out. I mean, how couldn't I? I have been looking at these pieces for so long, they have become my pride and joy. I know you shouldn't get attached to your work, but I think it's inevitable. I am always open to constructive criticism though! I know there are things I could have made better, or things that I could of included but what's done is done, and it ONLY GETS BETTER FROM HERE!
